We are a business development agency specializing in the software and consumer technology sectors. Channel Assist was set up in 2005 to address a gap in the market for professional representation services and incorporated in 2007. As a company we strive to add value to our partner’s growth strategies by professionally and innovatively developing channel breadth and depth to optimize revenue streams. We deeply value our industry relationships and market knowledge and endeavour to assist our partners with channel development in any which way we can.
The Channel Assist team has over 40 years combined business development experience. We have an eclectic background spanning channel development, distribution, brand development, product management and new media. It is this wealth of experience that underpins the creative approach with which we tackle the market and develop new revenue streams. Stepping outside of traditional mainstream opportunities we strive to seek out ways of developing business that are often left of field.
Victoria is responsible for vendor selection and the subsequent development and management of business development strategies to optimise revenues. She drives business development opportunities within the DSGI group and also proactively seeks complementary revenue streams with licensing, ESD and SAAS initiatives.
Having worked in the software space for over 10 years Victoria is an entrepreneurial self-starter with extensive business development experience. Her early career started in the reseller channel, moving into the ESD space followed by 5 years in value-added distribution where she built and developed a high performing business development team and a wide network of industry contacts. As a result Victoria has a breadth of market knowledge spanning multiple channels and an instinctive understanding of the specific challenges and opportunities each presents. Specific skills include creative selling, development of new channels, business planning, contract negotiation, P&L management and driving team performance. Her underlying business ethos of accountability, proactive selling and creativity was reflected in the service provided to partners whilst in distribution and subsequently underpins the Channel Assist model. She is passionate about providing high performing resource solutions for partners with a reputation for hard work, commitment and success.
CloseHolly drives business development activity in major retail accounts with a particular focus on e-tail and mail order. She is also pivotal in creating and implementing trade marketing initiatives for Channel Assist vendors.
With over 7 years experience working in the software and peripherals market Holly is experienced in engaging with the channel from both distribution and vendor perspectives. Her career started in distribution where she was responsible for looking after a portfolio of software and games vendors focused on strategic brand growth, channel breadth and profitability. Specific accountabilities included channel analysis, production, POS development and marketing promoting optimisation of sales opportunities. Following distribution Holly worked as a product marketing manager for a leading mobile device manufacturer working on honing consumer value propositions and lifecycle management. At Channel Assist Holly brings a comprehensive skill set merging marketing and product management experience, channel knowledge and in depth understanding of the e-tail space making her invaluable in identifying new market opportunities and developing compelling sales solutions to drive revenues and optimise ROI.
CloseNancy is responsible for the set-up and management of our distribution partners including new product set-up and supply chain management as well as managing all backoffice activities to ensure the smooth running of business development activities.
Nancy has over 15 years of business development experience spanning the retail, new media, finance and event planning industries. Having worked within fast-moving, target driven environments she has a proven track record in exceeding challenging business targets. At Yellow Pages she was responsible for the sourcing of new customers and the expansion of existing customer revenues through the introduction of new technologies and communication methods. As a divisional head whilst working in the finance sector Nancy developed and implemented all sales strategies, systems, methodologies and milestones. Her considerable business acumen enables her to align business processes to the ongoing changes in business dynamics thus contributing significantly to the operational side of Channel Assist’s business development activities.
CloseMatt supports all business development activities from a technical perspective with a particular focus on SAAS. He also develops alternative methods of promoting our products leveraging new media technologies.
Matt has an entrepreneurial background focused around developing innovative routes to market in the new media space and with award winning mobile platforms. In 2001, he co-founded Cube:80 a technology company building mobile platforms to empower businesses who do not possess inside knowledge of the "black art" of the wireless world to easily develop and deploy useful mobile services, establish and project their brand to mobile consumers, and generate profitable new revenue streams from a world that is increasingly connected via their mobile. Matthew took the company through the due diligence procedure during its several rounds of investment, merger and ultimate acquisition. Matt’s technical expertise and eye for spotting a new route to market makes him an invaluable asset for developing non-traditional channels including ESD, mobile marketing and software-as-a-service.
CloseMaria is responsible for the financial management of Channel Assist’s business as well as overseeing the financial processes for our partners via distribution.
Maria is a consummate professional and the foundation of Channel Assist’s back office activities. Working as a customer project manager in a large blue-chip organization she has extensive project management and organizational skills. After having a family Maria re-trained in book-keeping and is a fully qualified member of the Institute of Certified Book-keepers. She brings this unique mix of skill sets to help manage the commercial and operational side of Channel Assist’s business.
